Welcome to my fanfiction rec lists. They are divided by pairing and in no particular order (mostly). Additions are at the end of each list.

• Just a Park Bench by OrangePlum: Modern AU two-shot. ”It had started out as a simple ritual to escape from the stresses of work. It was just a park bench, really. Nothing special about it. At least, not until a certain American wormed his way in and threw peace and quiet out Arthur’s window.”

• The Second World’s Warby RobinRocks: “On 4th July, 1950, America unloops history in his bid to rid the world of Communism. The result is the initiation of War Plan Red: war with Great Britain and all that inevitably follows in 1939.” Angst.

The following are quite possibly NSFW, so check the warnings if that bothers you. 

Cherik (Mostly XMFC Charles/Erik; AU unless noted otherwise): 

When I say fluff, that doesn’t mean it has no plot; it means, if you are sad, read this to cheer you up. (This is the kind of info I like, since I feel like fanfiction in this fandom is a minefield, and I never know when I’m going to stumble upon something heartbreaking.)

• An Ideal Grace: Charles is a professor. When he sees the handsome professor his students have been dropping his class for, he comes up with a plan. Fluff. 
• The Courtship: Semi-AU. Erik, a descendant of Magneto, and Charles, a descendant of Professor X, get married for convenience’s sake. Of course. 
• Space Jam: Sci-fi/spaceship AU. Erik is a commander and Charles is his first mate. Also, there is a lot of slime. Fluff. Sequel (WIP): Jupiter Jazz
• Fatal Distraction: Charles is a little, er, younger than Erik, but falls for him anyway. 
• In the Moonlight, on a Joy Ride: The 6th rule of the library Charles works at: Do not speak to Lehnsherr. 
• Nine Eleven Ten: Nuclear winter Beauty and the Beast AU. The best reinterpretation of a fairytale I’ve ever read. Warnings: A lot. Heed them. WIP.
• Other Crabs Cannot Be Trusted: Everyone in XMFC is a crab. Fluff.
• Mutant Penguins: Charles and Erik are gay penguins. WIP, fluff.
• A Moving Sea: Charles is a dolphin, Erik is a shark. 
• Little Birds: Erik is a kestrel, Charles is a dove, and Shaw is the golden eagle who rules the skies. (Also includes epic pigeon characterization.) 
• Carpe Brewski: Charles and Erik are fraternity brothers. A lovely fic. WIP, possibly permanently. Please do not send the author hate or bug them about it. It is unfinished for a reason. 
• Come Morning: Charles falls from the roof of a building and he can’t remember why. Lovely art to go with it. 
• Paper Monsters: Erik and Charles meet by accident, but what Charles doesn’t know is that Erik is his favorite author. Fluff.
• Axis On A Tilt: Erik is in love with Charles, who is getting married. 
• Axes and Integers and Realizing You Love Someone: “Erik is avoiding Charles. Charles thinks it’s because he hates him. Raven thinks it’s because he’s an idiot.” Canon-verse. Fluff.
• Strict Machine: Max died 10 years ago in a motorcycle accident. When Charles sees him - now called Erik - again, they have to deal with old feelings and the dangers of Erik’s history with motorcycle gangs. 
• The Bell’s Toll: Charles has separated his instincts from his conscious mind and made them into a wolf. He gets put in a training facility, and his trainer is a man named Erik. Dark?Charles.
• The Butcher of Lowtown; a Tale from the Early History of Adaptives: Semi-steampunk AU. Erik is searching for Herr Doktor Klaus Schmidt; a man named the Butcher has been killing mutants in London. Erik meets a man named Charles. Accompanied by lovely art. 
• Despicably Yours: “Erik Lehnsherr, AKA Magneto, is a supervillain without equal… except maybe one: Charles Xavier, AKA Professor X, AKA Erik’s next door neighbor. When their competition heats up, Erik decides the only way to get ahead is to adopt four mutant orphans to infiltrate Charles’s mansion.” Fluff.
• Sitz!: Erik gets turned into a doberman. Fluff.
• King of the Pumpkin Path: “Charles has a Scaring deficit, but Erik is happy to help him learn to be more frightening this Halloween. Fusion with Nightmare Before Christmas.” Fluff.
• Hier steh ich an den Marken meiner Tage: “Erik Lehnsherr is a spy in the SS, and his British liaison is strategist Charles Xavier. Their relationship from the moment they meet to a year after the end of the war.”
• Walking After Midnight (Searching For You): “Charles likes to talk walks around his apartment complex late at night when he gets caught up with homework and over stressed. Also, maybe, because he likes to lurk a little bit on the insomniac from A32 who sits on his patio/blacony at odd hours with headphones and a cigarette. One day he’ll muster up the courage to talk to him - preferably during daylight.” Oneshot.
• Programming: “Erik is not programmed to feel affection. There’s no logical reason for Charles’s death to affect him like this. ((Inspired by certain elements of Prometheus, but not a direct crossover.)).” Asimov-esque in the best way possible.

Thor/Loki (aka Thorki or Thunderfrost):

• The Adventures of Thor Brodinson and Hipster Loki: Hipster AU. Thor and Loki as roommates and more during college. Not chronological. WIP. 
• We Spent Our Darkest Days Howling At The Moon: ‘ ”I’m at the train station,” Loki says. His voice is static over the phone. Hipster AU.’
• The Fault Is Not In Our Stars: “After a long and wretched campaign, Asgard has conquered Jotunheim. To ensure King Laufey’s cooperation and later friendship between the kingdoms, Asgard takes home the apparent heir to the throne, Loki Laufeyson. Loki is, unfortunately, anything but complacent.” WIP.
• Threads: After the events in The Avengers, Loki receives his punishment in Asgard - he cannot tell lies.  
• The Everlasting: One-shot. Loki thinks alone at night, when his brother visits him after a nightmare. 
• The Days Were Bright Red: For the prompt “green apples and cyanide.” 
• Stay With Me, Baby (I’m the fella you came in with): Canon-verse with some changes. Loki and Thor’s love story. 
• Bloodlust: Loki was tortured by the humans for 70 years. Thor tries to nurse him back to health. WIP, warnings.
• Stupidly Heroic: One-shot. WWII AU, Thor leaves for war. 
• Dulce et Decorum Est: One-shot. WWII AU, Thor is drafted. 
• (Untitled): Tony and Loki decide to become friends with benefits. Thor and Steve are not pleased. (Also Steve/Tony.)
• What if this storm ends; and leaves us nothing (also on AO3): One-shot. Thor falls in battle, so Loki takes up his helmet and cape. 
• Like Rolling Thunder: One-shot. Loki loves Thor’s voice. Includes smut. 
• To Find a Prince: One-shot. “There are four things that Thor does when he sees his brother for the first time since he’d fallen off the Bifrost.” 
• (Untitled): “5 times someone hugged Loki, and one time he hugged them first.”
• Chaos War: In the middle of a war, Odin goes into the Odinsleep, leaving Loki king and Thor sworn to him. Highly recommended. 
• Pulled Below: One-shot. Loki does not remember a life before he lived in the depths of the ocean, but the god who comes to him does. Mer-Loki. 
• Revelations: Thor falls. Loki and the Avengers go to Hel to get his soul back. WIP. 
• Hug Therapy: Thor’s therapist suggests he tries to hug Loki. The situation escalates. 
• Sheherazade: “Tell me how all this, and love too, will ruin us.”
• Brothers: “When Loki and Thor start spending too much time together, things are not always what they seem. Their mother is angry with them, Thor’s friends won’t talk to them, and Loki is left wondering why.”
• A necklace of songs (also on AO3): ‘“I seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times… In life after life, in age after age, forever.” Of a punishment that shakes everything apart. And of a love, wonderful and awful, throughout the ages, defying everything. But maybe, maybe it should not.’

And a special section for particularly happy Thorki fics:

• For Every Storm a Rainbow: Thor plays a prank on Idunn for Loki. Extra includes a purple puppy.

Hiddlesworth

• Follow Me Under: Chris notices that Tom is missing in the middle of the night and finds him swimming at 3am. No smut.

• Five times Tom sleepwalked and the one time he didn’t have to: Self-explanitory. 

Bruce/Tony (aka Science Boyfriends or Stanner; canon-verse unless noted otherwise): 

• A Reasonable Conclusion: Bruce really wants to get a closer look at Tony’s arc reactor. First of a series. 
• Midori Itsiiyusdi Ntsuab Emerald: Tony starts wearing green. A lot of green. 
• Fix It: Bruce thinks about leaving. Tony thinks about Bruce. 
• Love is in the Details: Snapshots of their relationship. 
• Untitled: Bruce has rules. Tony can’t sleep. 
• Animals: They can’t tell when the other one’s joking. Then they get drunk. 
• Night Light: The arc reactor keeps Bruce awake. 
• Home: “Tony gives Bruce a home. One day, Bruce returns the favor.” 
• No Light: Tony chases Bruce the only way he knows how. WIP.
• Simple Progression: “Tony finally got it right this time, with Bruce, so one day he asks him to marry him. Entirely mindless fluff.”
• These Walls Were Built To Fall: Two masquerades, many years apart. 
• Silver: Tony likes Bruce’s hair the way it is. 
• Summer: Bruce is in South America. They talk via videochat. 
• Spend My Kisses: Tony gives the Hulk kisses, and once the Hulk gives one back. Too cute for words!

Crossovers, MultiShip, or Miscellaneous: 

• Have You Met Uncle Charles?: Charles vets all Tony’s dates. Steve/Tony and some Cherik.
• Habits: AU where super heros don’t exist and Tony takes care of the Avengers. Bruce/Tony, Thor/Loki, Cap/Coulson, Nat/Clint, and Tony/pretty much everyone. 
• (Untitled): Tony and Loki decide to become friends with benefits. Thor and Steve are not pleased. Tony/Loki, eventual Thor/Loki and Steve/Tony.
• Geas: Thor/XMFC crossover. “The young Charles Xavier isn’t sure yet whether he believes in mutants. How is he supposed to react to a Norse god making him an offer?” Implied Cherik. 
• American Pie: Hetalia/Supernatural crossover. While on vacation, Alfred and Arthur stumble upon some monsters, two hunters, and an angel. Established USUK and Destiel. 
• (Untitled): Thor-verse. Loki and human!Svadilfari. 
• Epilogue: Avengers-verse. Five years later, Loki is working for SHIELD. First part of a series. 
• Off the Record: “It started with a message, a late-night visit, and a God of Mischief in Tony’s bed. A story of trust, trickery, unwilling aid and inevitable attraction.” Ironfrost.
